Fairgrounds Speedway doubleheader Friday-Saturday, Sept. 16-17

CORTEZ, Colo.—The last races for the season happen this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 16-17, at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Cortez, Colo.

Don't miss the fun-packed weekend with four national champions: 2014 USRA Modified national champion Fito Gallardo and defending USRA Modified national champ Jake Gallardo, plus Zane DeVilbiss and Aaron Spangler battling it out, along with several out-of-town Holley USRA Stock Cars.

We will also be having the Witten's Warriors make-up race on Saturday night.

During intermission Saturday, we will be having the Truck Tug-of-War with proceeds going to Michael O'Neill who was seriously injured in a automobile accident.

We will also be having the Kids Foot Race on Friday with free give-aways and raffles for bikes, toolboxes, I-pods and a porch set with proceeds going to Witten's Warriors.

We will be starting a little bit earlier this weekend at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday.
