The countdown is on! No not to the new year, even though that would be correct. No, the countdown is on to the 2017 racing season at the I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo.

From Jan. 1, it will only be 70 days until you can conquer the winter racing blues with an action-packed racing schedule.

March 11 will bring practice day, March 18 opening night and from there the excitement takes off and starts racing to the season conclusion in October.

Weekly racing includes USRA Modifieds, Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, plus E-Modifieds, Grand Nationals, Pure Stocks and Sport Compacts. The Show-Me Vintage Racers (SMVR), Midwest Lightning Sprints and Midwest Outlaw Vintage Racers (MOVR) bring variety to the schedule.

Annual I-35 Speedway events continue their tradition with the 6th Annual Racin for Rian, Kaster Celebration, Kids Night, 2nd Annual Smokin’ Trackside BBQ Bash and the Central Auto Racing Boosters (C.A.R.B.) Night.

The 2017 I-35 Speedway racing season will conclude with the Nov. 4 banquet, again at the A.V. Spillman Event Center in Jamesport.
