Spring is just around the corner. Besides melting snow, warmer temperatures and spring fever it means the 2017 racing season is coming soon.

Clements Chevrolet Cadillac located at 1000 12th St. SW in Rochester, Minn., will once again host the Deer Creek Speedway race car show on Saturday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

It is an excellent opportunity for fans to come out and get a preview of what they will see on the track for the upcoming racing season. There are other activities going on that day at Clements as well. There will be free hot dogs and Pepsi products while they last which will start at 11 a.m. For the kids there will be a magician and balloon animals for their entertainment.

The Deer Creek Speedway merchandise trailer will also be on site. Fans will be able to pick up fresh new apparel and other items so you can hit the town or track in style for 2017. The friendly sales staff at Clements will once again offer free Deer Creek Speedway tickets and all you have to do is test drive a car that Saturday.

There will be trophies awarded for the five classes of cars that race at Deer Creek at 2:30. Each division will have a best appearing award that is voted on by the staff at Clements Chevrolet. There is also a “Best In Show” award that is voted on by the fans who come to the car show. Drivers that wish to participate in the show are asked to call the Deer Creek Speedway office at (507) 754-6107 to notify officials that you plan to display your car. Race teams are encouraged to show their machines as it is a great opportunity for them to show off their sponsors. On the day of the show, race teams are asked to have their cars at Clements by 9 a.m. to unload and get things set-up.
