Steve Muilenburg won the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature at the North Central Arkansas Speedway on Friday, April 7, 2017.

The North Central Arkansas Speedway kicked off the 2017 race season Friday evening with clear skies and track conditions that showcased the great racing that lies ahead.

The Out-Pace USRA B-Mod field was paced to the start by defending class champion Jason Snodgrass inside row one with Steve Muilenburg outside the front row.

Muilenburg powered to the lead entering turn one with Kandy Methvin pressuring him from behind. Methvin dove towards the very bottom of the track entering turn three and slid in front of Muilenburg exiting turn four to hold the early lead.

Muilenburg chased Methvin around the speedway looking for a way to the front throughout the first half of the event before lapped traffic gave him the chance to get to the lead on lap twelve. A late-race restart put Methvin close to the leader but Muilenburg held off the challenge and pulled way for the win.

Racing action continues Friday night, April 14, with five classes of racing action. The North Central Arkansas Speedway is located between Yellville and Flippin on Hwy. 62-412. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and those with a military ID, $5 for youth ages 7 through 15 with kids ages 6 and under getting in free. A family plan is $25 for two adults and their family members ages 15 and under. For rules or information please visit the speedway website at www.ncaspeedway.com.
