Gallardo, Colobrio, Hayne take Spring Fling finales at Southern New Mexico Speedway

The 3rd Annual Spring Fling presented by Sound & Signal wrapped up Saturday, April 22, with Jake Gallardo (USRA Modifieds), Victor Colobrio (Holley USRA Stock Cars) and Jesse Hayne (Out-Pace USRA B-Mods) notching the victories.

Hayne finally picked up a victory but Dickie Gorham led the opening five laps with two cautions following. Gorham had the lead for another lap until Hayne, who started seventh, took the lead.

Hayne stayed strong with two cautions flying during his lead, and the "Ice Man" was all smiles at the end of the night as he picked up his first of many to come.

Donovan Flores tried keeping his perfect weekend alive in the Holley USRA Stock Cars as he shared the front row with Victor Colobrio.

At the green Pete Vargas, Jaime Torres and Nathan Smith went three wide for third. Meanwhile, Colobrio took the lead from Flores and went on to capture the victory.

Pete Vargas got a hard-fought second, followed by Jaime Torres,n Flores and Jason Josselyn rounding out the top five.


Victor Colobrio won the Holley USRA Stock Car feature.

Jake Gallardo absolutely owned the full 24-car field of USRA Modifieds to end the weekend on a super high note.

Gallardo led from flag to flag with good battles behind him that saw Zane DeVilbiss hold off Bumper Jones for second.
