Justin Allen won the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature.

A cold Saturday night didn't stop the fans from coming out to watch the 2017 season opener of good old Saturday night racing at the Southern New Mexico Speedway.

The Out-Pace USRA B-Mods staged a good 15-lap main event with the father-son duo of Dickie Gorham and Gregory Gorham on the front row for the start.

Th pair battled for the lead on the opening lap as Dickie Gorham led the opening lap but Gregory Gorham found his way around his dad the next time by.

The field went three wide for the top five with Noah Hollingshead battling Dickie Gorham for second place while Gregory Gorham was gone, but Justin Allen showed up to the party and got by both Dickie Gorham and Hollingshead.

On lap eight, Allen passed Gregory Gorham for the lead and took off to run away to the checkers and take the main event win.

In Holley USRA Stock Car action, Jaime Torres picked up another main event win and started the regular Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series with a bang.

Torres started on the outside of row one and took off at the start. Pete Vargas worked his way to second quickly with Nathan Smith and Jack Skillin battling for third.

With no cautions to slow him down, Torres ran away for the win with Vargas second and Smith third.

Jaime Torres won the Holley USRA Stock Car feature.
