Brad Whitney celebrate his 50th birthday by winning the Holley USRA Stock Car feature.

In remembrance of all those we lost serving our country, the U.S. 36 Raceway had a heart-warming Memorial Day opening ceremony to start our great night of racing action Friday. They will always be in our hearts.

Out-Pace USRA B-Mods saw a loaded field of competitors forcing a "B" feature to be run. With 20 cars in the feature, heat race winner Andy Bryant set the early pace until contact sent him to the rear of the field turning the lead over to Jim Moody. Moody continued to lead until the closing laps when other heat race winner Doug Keller made his move under Moody and claimed the win. Keller was challenged on the last lap by Moody but to no avail as the Keller clenched the big trophy and paycheck. Moody finished second with the always present and fast Shadren Turner ending the night third. Bud Wilson would charge through the field to place fourth with Josh Munsen finished the race in fifth position. Other heat race winners were Dakota Foster and Steve Clancy.

Doug Keller won the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature.

Holley USRA Stock Cars saw Brad Whitney celebrate his 50th birthday in style as he led every lap of the feature and claimed the win. Whitney won both his heat race and feature on this night of competition with a very fast Eddie Ingram placing second right on his back bumper. Third place belonged to Alvie Christofferson with Sam Scott fourth. Another heat race winner, Anthony Robertson, was among the leaders and placed fifth. Other heat race winner was Ingram.

USRA Modifieds saw the who’s-who of the dirt track racing world with the very best drivers taking the track. Heat race winner Matt Johnson took the early lead and didn't look back, claiming the money and trophy on this big night of racing. Johnson was challenged early and often by second-place finisher Zach Sanders and other heat race winner Mark Dotson, who finished third. Jim Moody raced his way to a solid fourth-place showing with Shayne Bailey a close fifth. Other heat race winner was Chad Clancy.

Matt Johnson won the USRA Modified feature.

Message from the promoter: Jon and Beth Boller and the entire U.S. 36 Raceway staff would like to extend an apology for the track conditions Friday night. The track was worked every day for the past three weeks that weather would allow and on Thursday evening prior to the event the track was in outstanding condition. Thursday night into Friday morning heavy rains fell on the track creating issues. At 11 a.m. on Friday Jon considered cancelling the event but had so much interest he felt it was worth the effort to race. We truly appreciate all drivers and fans that came out and again, we apologize for the track issue. We also apologize for congestion and problems at the pay window after the race completions. These issues will be taken care of and payout will be prompt and efficient.  We at U.S. 36 Raceway want to be your Friday night racing home track and will always work to improve ironing out the kinks as we all grow together.  We will work diligently to make the track as good as possible in the future.
