2017 USRA Nationals coming to I-35 Speedway

The excitement continues to grow as the 2017 season move towards the 5th Annual USRA Nationals, this year to be held at the I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo. When the schedule was published in early December, the racing community quickly picked up the dates of Oct. 12-14. In preparation for this event there have been many new changes—some this past winter and some still ongoing.

Drivers and touring series have been impressed with the changes made at the track. First and foremost, racers and pit crews have noticed the expanded pits at the track. They have also caught the sign along Interstate 35. A few have ventured north to the camping area by the lake. The new bleachers were installed this past off season. New sponsors have come on board and new billboards have been added.

More amenities are still in the works, including lights and speakers for the expanded pit area. The light poles are already in the ground.

The race track grounds are always maintained in pristine condition, and speaking of the track surface many have enjoyed the benefit of competition on the super-smooth, super-fast, 3/8-mile track. The track crew works tirelessly to ensure the drivers have the best track for competition. Hours pulling the sheep’s foot, utilizing the grader and adding water all adds up to hours of extremely enjoyable racing action on Saturday nights.

Just think, in October we get to share this facility with our USRA racing family!

The track and friendly staff are gearing up for a superb USRA Nationals on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12-14. We hope you are planning to be a part of this super-exciting three days of racing event. Get your vacation time scheduled, get your campers ready and get your plans made to be at the I-35 Speedway for the USRA Nationals.
