Fun, fireworks, family, Christmas in July, double features and an increased Holley USRA Stock Car purse, all this week at the super-fast, super-exciting I-35 Speedway. The fun is always in the exciting weekly racing of the USRA Modifieds, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and the Holley USRA Stock Cars, along with the Grand National, Pure Stock and E Mod classes.

Last week the Holley USRA Stock Cars were three wide at the checkered flag. This week we have makeup features for the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and the Grand Nationals from June 17.

I-35 Speedway will have a spectacular fireworks display this Saturday, July 1, honoring our great nation at the conclusion of the races. Next Tuesday, our country—the greatest nation in the world that stands for freedom—will turn 242 years old. In addition, our racing family turned out in force this past week for Racin for Rian, we are planning it again with Christmas in July. We will be accepting gently used/new clothing, coats, gloves, shoes, blankets, pillows and nonperishable easy to open food to be given to those less fortunate than ourselves.

Finally, we are pleased to announce the Holley USRA Stock Car purse is being increased. Starting July 1 the winner will take home $400. This is a thank you for the continued support of this class from owners Mike and Kyle Johnson. At the beginning of this season the purse was increased in all classes and even those classes with a two tier purse the higher purse has been paid all season. The owners appreciate those who weekly support them.

Gates will open at 4:30, hot laps at 6:15, racing at 7:00 and fireworks will fill the sky afterwards. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military, $6 for children 7-12 years old, and 6 and under are free. Make your plans now to attend these always action packed, always thrilling, always fun races. I-35 Speedway is a 3/8-mile dirt track located at exit 64 off Interstate 35.
