Southern New Mexico Speedway to remember, celebrate life of Jessica Miller this Saturday

This Saturday, July 15, at the Southern New Mexico Speedway is shaping up to be a big one. Barnett Harley-Davidson Night will celebrate Jessica Miller's life as the racing community lost her this past week.

Former track manager Sarah Q. Stevens teamed up with Karsyn's Krusaders in 2012 to "Kick Cancer's Butt One Lap at a Time."

Miller left a big mark not just in the racing world but at the Southern New Mexico Speedway too. On Saturday night, the infield at the Southern New Mexico Speedway will be completely pink, and we will also let go of many balloons in remembrance of Miller.

On top of celebrating Miller's life, she loved dirt modifieds. The Southern New Mexico Speedway was one of her favorite tracks for her modified fix.

The USRA Modifieds saw 36 cars entered two weeks ago--the highest car count nationwide for the division in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series. To add to the excitement, Bumper Jones is looking to go for his sixth straight win at the track with a $1,000 bounty still on his head.

The Holley USRA Stock Cars join in on the action as well, along with Legends Cars, Late Models and Super Trucks .

Make sure to bring three friends also because four people will get in for $44 this Saturday night, along with four hot dogs, four drinks and four bags of chips. You can't beat it.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7:45. For more information visit our website at www.snmspeedway.com.
