Rigel rolls at North Central Arkansas Speedway

Heavy rain early in the morning Friday at North Central Arkansas Speedway helped with track preparation as cooler temperatures moved into the area.

The Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature went green with Jason Snodgrass and Kandy Methvin pacing the field to the start. Snodgrass and Methvin were still alongside each other at the scoring line on lap one but it was Justin Rigel on top of the scoresheet as he and Methvin both moved past Snodgrass by the end of lap two.

Methvin raced alongside Rigel for a pair of laps before Snodgrass moved alongside Methvin to battle over second. A lap six spin by Methvin sent him to the back of the field for the restart allowing Snodgrass to take over the second spot with Brent Raulston moving into third. The top three cars pulled away from the field with Raulston pressuring Snodgrass from the bottom groove over the middle portion of the race.

The race ended with Justin Rigel claiming his career first feature win, Snodgrass running second and Raulston finishing third.

Racing action continues Friday night Aug 4th. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and those with a military ID, $5 for those ages 7 through 15 with 6 and under getting in free. A family plan is $25 for two adults and their family members 15 and under.
