Bone, Guinn nab second wins of season at Tri-State Speedway

The 12th points race of the season at the legendary Tri-State Speedway was a night of repeat winners. Mother Nature cooperated nicely this past week with cooler than normal temperatures and just enough rain to keep the grass green and the dirt damp.

The first race on the track after intermission was the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature where Kevin Guinn of Fayetteville, Ark., went to victory lane for the second time this season. Daniel Tarkington crossed the line in second ahead of points leader Lonny Flanagan.

Kevin Guinn won the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod feature.

The USRA Modifieds took to the high banks last for their feature. Johnny Bone Jr. of Pea Ridge, Ark., was able to pick up his second win of the season over points leader Trevor Latham. George Martin drove a great race from deep in the field to a third-place finish.

Tri-State Speedway will return to action again on Aug. 12 for a full night of heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat point racing excitement. Don’t forget the new starting time of 8 p.m. with both pit gates and grandstand gates opening at 5. The drivers meeting is at 7 and hot laps are scheduled for 7:30.
