The Out-Pace USRA B-Mods would see the very best of the best battle it out for the win. Heat winners Doug Keller and Randy Ainsworth would race side by side early with Ainsworth high and Keller low for the lead until Keller would gain the advantage. Tim Eaton would work his way through traffic and challenge Keller working the extreme low line as the two would race side by side and wheel to wheel for the front. Keller would not be denied as the two raced cleanly to the checkers with Keller winning and parking in McCarthy Auto Group Winners Circle. Eaton would place second with Ed Noll charging to the front placing third. Ainsworth would fade slightly to place fourth with Daniel Harris, who started last on the field placing an impressive fifth.

Doug Keller won the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod fetaure.

Holley USRA Stock Cars would see the familiar face of Dean Wray pick up his thirteenth feature win at I-35 this 2017 racing season. Wray would not be challenged as great racing action developed behind the leader. Gary Donaldson and heat winner Jon Boller Jr. would thrill the fans with side by side racing action to the checkers with Boller high and Donaldson low with the taking second holding Boller to third. One time leader Sam Scott #93 would recover from an early race spin to place fourth with gene Stigall rounding out the night’s top five.

Dean Wray won the Holley USRA Stock Car feature.

USRA Modifieds would see a great race as heat winner Derrick Hicks would lead from green flag to checkered flag claiming his second win of 2017 at I-35 Speedway. Hicks would be challenged every lap by other heat winner and second place finisher Shayne Bailey with current point leader Dennis Elliott third. Nic Hanes continues to be a front runner as he would place fourth with Clay Hale a solid and consistent fifth place showing.

Derrick Hicks won the USRA Modified feature.

I-35 Speedway would like to congratulate the Larry Kaster Driver Appreciation Awards presented during Intermission by CARB President Skip Richardson and the Kaster family: Michael Dotson (USRA Modifieds), Mich Ross (Holley USRA Stock Cars) and Bud Wilson (Out-Pace USRA B-Mods).

I-35 Speedway would like to thank all our drivers and fans for another night of great racing action and look forward to see all back next week where there is always more “Dirt Trackin at its Best.”
