Season Championship points racing is winding down at Central Missouri Speedway as drivers continue their pursuit for season track championships on KRLI 103.9 and The Grenade Night. This Saturday evening will feature the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series classes including USRA Modifieds and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, plus Street Stocks, Midwest Mod-Lites and Pure Stocks.

Fans continued to be entertained with door-to-door racing action last week when Odessa driver Jim Moody grabbed his fourth USRA Modified feature win of the year in a furious showdown with veterans Terry Schultz and Kerry Davis. Moody leads the point standings for the USRA Modified track championship and should feel somewhat comfortable with a 87-point lead in front of up and coming driver, Dalton Kirk. Veteran driver Tim Karrick sits ahead of Schultz and Kevin Blackburn rounding out the top five.

Jacob Ebert from Oak Grove added his third feature win of the year in Out-Pace USRA B-Mod action and controls the point standings ahead of Cody Frazon. Jake Richards of Lansing, Kansas has dominated victory lane with seven feature wins at CMS and is close to Frazon in third. Richards also sits in the top five in Out-Pace USRA B-Modnational standings heading into the weekend. Steve Clancy and Michael Bixby round out this week’s top five.
