6th Annual Dahl Auto Plaza USRA Modified Nationals coming to Mississippi Thunder Speedway Sept. 7-9


Mississippi Thunder Speedway is once again ready for the 6th Annual Dahl Auto Plaza USRA Modified Nationals and there is nothing that would make us happier than to see you here. This event is limited to 240 drivers (USRA Modifieds and Out-Pace B-Mods), and drivers have been racing since day one to get their name on this list.

Call 608-687-3282 to save your spot (spot will be held from the day you call). Mail payment and registration form to MTS, 1140 72nd Ave., Minnesota City, MN 55959. Drivers will be allowed to have one spot in the pits. To reserve additional areas in the parking lot, call the number above.

Camping is available at the track. Contact Kasi Johnson at (608) 687-3282 to reserve a spot. Cost is $50. Showers will be available, but no hook-ups. Wednesday, Sept. 6:
1:00 p.m. –- Pit gate opens. Pits will be cleared at 12:30 p.m. Please understand that due to the high attendance numbers for this event, absolutely no campers that are not attached to the trailer will be allowed to be in the pits until all drivers are parked.
6:00-9:00 p.m. – Practice. $20 per car/driver, $10 per pit person.
Grandstands will be open to public at no charge.
Pit concessions and limited tower concessions will be available.

Thursday, Sept. 7:
12:00 p.m. –- Pit concession open.
3:00 p.m. – Pit gate opens (clear pits at 2:30 p.m.).
5:00 p.m. – Grandstands open.
Food and beverages will be available in the pit concessions, kitchen concessions, tower concessions, bar and beer garden.
General Admission: Adults $20, 3-Day Adult Pass $70, 3-Day Student Pass $15, Kids 12 & Under FREE.

Pit Passes: Adults $50, 12 & Under $15 (non-competitors), Kids 5 & Under FREE.

RULES

Race Rules: Under no circumstances will any drivers be allowed to compete in both the Modified and B-Mod portion of the show. Entry for both Modifieds and B-Mods will be limited the first 240 total cars entered. Under no circumstances will we accept entries beyond 240 total. Registration will be closed as soon as we have a total of 240 cars. We will accept entries for a waiting list in the event we receive a cancellation from a pre-registered driver. Once registered, any driver that wishes to cancel will need to contact the speedway office at (608) 687-3282 one week prior to the event. Drivers on the waiting list will have first option to fill in any cancellations. All cars in both divisions will be required to run the American Racer G60 racing tire. This will be the only tired allowed for this event and both classes will be allowed to grind, groove and sipe tires. Be prepared to be teched as we will do everything we can to catch anybody cheating. We will have extra tech people on staff for this event. We will retain the right to hold checks for anyone in the top five each night for a period of up to two weeks if we suspect any tire softening. This will allow for tire samples to be taken and tested if necessary. Mississippi Thunder Speedway reserves the right to amend these as we see fit to maintain an even playing field.

Modifieds: There will be no restrictions to drivers eligible to compete in the Modified portion of the show. USRA, Wissota, UMP and IMCA type Modifieds will be allowed to compete. All motor packages legal in any of these sanctioning bodies will be considered legal but must adhere to the weight rule and RPM rule for their sanctioning body and motor package with exception of UMP cars which must adhere to the weight and RPM rule for their engine package within the USRA rules. No mixing of rules will be allowed. Maximum of five-inch spoiler legal on Modifieds. No split birdcages on any kind will be allowed. Single spring per wheel, no stack springs. All three nights will be USRA-sanctioned with Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points awarded.

B-Mods: No drivers that have won a race in Modifieds, Late Models or Sprint Cars in the last five years will be allowed to compete in the B-Mod portion of the show. This does not include Limited and Crate Late Models. All other drivers are eligible. USRA, Wissota, IMCA and Southern Sport Mod Type B Mods will be allowed to compete. You will be required to declare the sanctioning body rules you would like to run at pre-tech. No mixing of rules. Cars will be marked and teched accordingly. There will be no spoilers allowed on any B-Mod and back panels will be optional.

GOLF TOURNAMENT

In addition to the money and excitement offered during the 6th Annual Dahl Auto Plaza USRA Modified Nationals the 2017 golf tournament is also on tap.
