The regular race season at Central Missouri Speedway ends in a big way with two straight nights of special events racing over the Labor Day Weekend. Action begins on Saturday, Sept. 2, as USRA Modifieds compete in their night one qualifying events to earn a spot on the grid for Sunday’s finale.

For the first time, drivers who race on Saturday night have an extra reason to attempt to qualify for Sunday’s finale on night as the 20-lap Scramble on Saturday will pay $500 to the winner and at least $100 to start. Only the night one Scramble will have a payout, the night two scramble on Sunday does not have a payout as that is the night when drivers compete for $3,000 to win.

Both Saturday and Sunday will feature heat races, B-Mains as needed, and 20-lap Scramble events to determine the 24 drivers who will race in the finale Sunday night. The top 12 finishers from Saturday night’s scramble will occupy the inside rows for Sunday’s finale in positions 1-23. Sunday night’s scramble top 12 will make-up the outside rows on Sunday in positions 2-24. The 24 drivers will then compete for the $3,000-to-win top prize in the 35-lap main event.

Also on the programs for Saturday are the Midwest Mod-Lites, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods. These classes will compete on their final track points night of the year to sort out the track championships in each respective division.

On Sunday, another round of qualifying takes place for USRA Modifieds who either didn’t make the top 12 on night one or any new drivers showing up. An all-new night of racing in heats, b-mains as needed, and a 20-lap scramble will then determine the final 12 starters for the $3,000-to-win finale.

Joining in on the night two Sunday night special-events are the Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, who return for a night of racing for Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points and a $1,500 payday for the win. Heat races, B-Mains as needed and a 25-lap main event make up the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod program.

ULMA Late Models will bring their tight battle for their championship to CMS on Sunday night for the association’s final appearance at the track this year. Also, the E-Mods will make their first-ever CMS appearance on Sunday night.

All drivers are highly encouraged to read and familiarize themselves with the track’s general race rules located at www.centralmissourispeedway.net underneath the Drivers link.

Admission prices for both Saturday and Sunday are as follows: Adults $15, Active-Duty Military w/I.D. and Seniors 65 to 74 $12, kids ages six to twelve $5, five years and under are free, seniors 75 and older are also free. Senior Citizens 80 and older may receive free pit admission. Pit passes for anyone entering the pits up to age 79 are $35. Pit gates open at 4:30, grandstands at 5. Driver pill draw closes at 6:15; late drivers will not be awarded passing points. Call the track report line on race day at 660-747-2166 if something prevents you from arriving on time. The pit meeting takes place at 6:30, hot laps roll out at 7, and racing begins at 7:30.
