Bone goes back-to-back in Bravado Wireless Fall Classic

The 14th points race of the season and the 2017 Bravado Wireless Fall Classic USRA Modified special at Tri-State Speedway saw Mother Nature cooperate as temperatures were in the mid-80s with a slight breeze on Friday night. The new track owners, Michael and Jerri Hoover, continued to impress the drivers and fans alike with their dedication and support to make Tri-State Speedway mighty once again.

On night one, the second feature on the track was for the USRA Modified "C" feature that saw Tate Cole of Fort Gibson cross the line first ahead of George Martin and Daniel Franklin.

Up next was the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod "A" feature. Kevin Guinn of Fayetteville, Ark., went to victory lane for the fourth time this season as Cody Jolly took home second place over points leader Lonny Flanagan.

The next race was for the USRA Modified "B" feature. Jeremy Payne of Springfield, Mo., captured the win over Robert Powers and Kayden Menasco.

The USRA Modifieds took to the high banks last for their 25-lap, $1,000-to-win "A" feature, and Johnny Bone Jr. of Pea Ridge, Ark., was able to pick up the first win of what would be a great Labor Day Weekend for him. Mitch Keeter took home second over a charging Cole who transferred out of the "C" and "B" features. Points leader Trevor Latham finished the night with his points lead intact.

On night two, the second feature on the track was for the first USRA Modified "B" feature. Payne crossed the line first ahead of Jared Russell and Brent Holman. The next race was for the second USRA Modified "B" feature. Mickey Lassiter of Piedmont, Okla., captured the win over Jeremy Vaughn and Chad Wheeler.

Up next was the Out-Pace USRA B-Mod "A" feature. Cody Jolly of Jasper, Mo., took home the night two win over second place Dean Green and Brent Manning.

The USRA Modifieds took to the high banks last for their 30-lap, $2,000-to-win "A" feature. Bone repeated his feat from night one with another win. Payne took home second over Keeter. Latham finished the night with his points lead still intact.

The Tri-State Speedway will return to action again on Saturday, Sept. 9, for the first of four consecutive Saturday nights of racing in the month-long “September to Remember” special. Complete information on this event can be found at www.Tri-StateSpeedway.com and social media channels starting on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
