Nix checks out at Southern Oklahoma Speedway


A full field of USRA Modifieds started the feature Saturday at the Southern Oklahoma Speedway.

Chad Howell jumped out to an early lead but C.A. Nix was right behind him and the two ran off from the rest of the field but quickly found themselves in lapped traffic.

Nix moved to the middle groove while Howell tried to work from the top. Nix was able to weave in and out of traffic but Howell got caught up and Nix pulled away from him and the rest of field.

Starting towards the middle of the field. Mitchell Clement was on the move. After four laps on the bottom, Clement inched his way past Howell but Nix had a half-track lead on the field.

Kyle Robinson decided to try his luck on the bottom and he to also caught up to Howell and Clement. Coming off turn four, Clement and Robinson crossed the finish line in a photo-finish with Robinson taking second from Clement.

Howell hung on to fourth and finishing fifth was Wesley Veal.
