Worthington Nationals gets green flag this Saturday


This Saturday, Sept. 30, the Nobles County Speedway in Worthington, Minn., will host the inaugural Worthington Nationals.

Presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts of Worthington and Jesse James Construction of Sanborn, Iowa, the event will feature the Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Tuners, with Micro-Sprints, Late Model Street Stocks, A-Modifieds and Pickups also in action.

Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods will be racing for $750 to win, USRA Hobby Stocks battle for a $650 top prize and $200 awaits the winner of the USRA Tuner feature race (minimum 10 entries).

The event will be a draw/redraw format all classes. Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points will be awarded.

The pit gate opens at 2 p.m., grandstands open 3, draw cutoff drivers is 4, hot laps start at 4:15 and racing kicks off at 5 p.m.

Grandstand admission is $14 for adults, $9 for kids ages 9-15 and free for children ages 8 and under. Pit passes are $35. In the event of rain, the show will move one day later to Sunday, Oct. 1.
