RL Promotions banquet for Britt, Cresco Speedways slated for Feb. 10

CRESCO, Iowa -- Officials from RL Promotions have announced the date and location for this year's post-season awards banquet for both the Pritchard Family Auto Stores Hancock County Speedway in Britt, Iowa, and the Cresco (Iowa) Speedway.

The event will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Howard County Expo Center in Cresco, located two blocks north of State Hwy. 9 on W. 7th St. (at the Howard County Fairgrounds).

Social hour will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30. The awards presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m., followed by a night of dancing and bench racing.

The cost for attendees is $20 per person. Please make checks payable to RL Promotions and note the number of attendees with your correspondence. The deadline for ordering tickets is Jan. 20. No tickets will be sold at the door.

USRA Casey's General Stores Championship Series track champions and top-10 finishers from the 2006 racing season, as well as other special awards, will be presented to competitors from both facilities.

Track champions at the Pritchard Family Auto Stores Hancock County Speedway were Brad Bakken (USRA Modifieds), Tom Schmitt (USRA Stock Cars), Logan Brown (USRA B-Mods), Randy Hadacek (USRa Hobby Stocks), Matt Baker (Senior Hornets) and Colby Fett (Junior Hornets). Cresco Speedway track champions were Kevin Pittman (USRA Modifieds), Tom Schmitt (USRA Stock Cars), Brian Kunkle (USRA B-Mods), Chris Hovden (USRA Hobby Stocks) and Patty Fosaaen (Outlaw Hobbys).
