Flores goes back-to-back at Southern New Mexico Speedway

Donavon Flores got the broom this weekend as he swept the weekend with the Holley USRA Stock Cars at the Southern New Mexico Speedway.

Lloyd Turner and Craig Rice established the front row of Saturday's 20-lap feature. Turner led the opening three rounds until a caution flew on lap three for Jed Smith spinning in turn two after a chain reaction from Jimmy Ray and Mark Morris.

Turner had his '57 Chevy rolling smooth tonight as he jumped back to the front but Flores, who started 11th after a rough heat race, worked his way to second on lap nine with a caution following.

On the restart, Turner led one lap with Flores trying top and bottom to get to the lead, finally finding clear sailing ahead as he took the lead on lap 11.

Flores reached lapped traffic on lap 14, but not stopping him from dominating the Holley USRA Stock Car feature to go back-to-back for the weekend.
