Jackson, Petty keep points chase interesting in Lebanon

The Out-Pace USRA B-Mod points title at the Lebanon Midway Speedway has been a see-saw battle this season. Lebanon's Kris Jackson has captured ten feature wins this season along with two runner-up finishes and a third-place finish while Niangua's Sam Petty has stayed solid and steady with a couple of rough nights.

Going into this Friday's Tracker Marine Night, the duo will continue the back-and-forth race as Jackson goes in with a narrow four-point margin. By winning last Friday, Jackson will have to work his way from the back of the pack as track rules during the Spring/Summer Series calls for the previous winner to start in row 6.

With only four track points races scheduled, this could come down to the very last night between the two, but don't count out Tyler Knudtson as the second-year driver with a new car this season and only 61 points behind Jackson is still looking for his first win of the season but has been very consistent and getting faster by racing with the current national points leader Jackson and former Dallas County Speedway track champion Petty. Brian Myers and rookie Rich Reynolds complete the top 5.

Action will also feature Pure Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Legends, Street Stocks, Hornets and Bombers.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7 and opening ceremonies at 8 p.m. Admission is only $10 for adults with kids (8-12) $5 and children 7 and under free. Pit passes are $30.
