Big weekend for Holley USRA Stock Cars at Rapid Speedway, Nobles County Speedway

Ground Round of Worthington brings you this week's racing action at the Nobles County Speedway, and may bring one Holley USRA Stock Car driver's weekend winnings to $2,500.

The Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids, Iowa, will host a $1,000-to-win event for the Holley USRA Stock Cars on Friday, Aug. 17, and the Nobles County Speedway in Worthington, MInn., will do the same on Saturday, Aug. 18.

And there’s a $500 bonus if one driver wins them both.

On Friday at the Rapid Speedway, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and Cook Racing Supplies USRA Hobby Stocks will join the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series program with Sportsmans and Late Model Street Stocks also racing.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 7-14 and free for kids 6 and under. Pit passes are $25. The pit gate will open at 5 p.m. and grandstands open at 5:30. Driver registration will be cut off at 6:30 with hot laps at 7 and racing to follow.

Saturday night at the Nobles County Speedway, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, Cook Racing Supplies USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Tuners will also be in action along with Sportsmans and A-Mods.

Adult tickets are $11, kids (13-16) are $7 and children 12 and under are free. Hot laps begin at 7 p.m. with racing to follow.

After a five-year hiatus, the Nobles County Speedway returned to weekly Saturday night racing under the USRA banner in 2017. The 3/8-mile semi-banked dirt oval located just off of I-90 in Southwestern Minnesota is under the direction of Glen Van Eck and Adam Ecker.
