Spangler Automotive to give away Ford Mustang this Saturday at Hamilton County Speedway

Season Championships are on deck for this Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Hamilton County Speedway with the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Modifieds, Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods, Cook Racing Supplies USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Tuners plus the return of the Malvern Bank Super Late Models.

Saturday will also see one person go home the big winner in the Great Mustang Giveaway presented by Spangler Automotive. Fans with golden tickets have been entered into the drawing throughout the summer, and the final drawing takes place Saturday during Season Championships.

Spangler Automotive, State Farm Insurance (Jerry Goebel), Hamilton County Speedway and Gilbert Flooring teamed up with KQWC to give away a 2010 Ford Mustang. Throughout the spring and summer, 100 golden tickets were marked for radio remotes and other items to be handed out.

As of today, 98 of the 100 tickets have been claimed leaving two unclaimed tickets. The Hamilton County Speedway has these two tickets and will be giving them away Saturday night at the races. At intermission the 100 golden ticket participants will make their way to the down to the racetrack and ten names will be drawn from the 100 ticket holders. These ten will each select a key to see who pulls the key to start the Ford Mustang!

The Hamilton County Speedway will be stepping up to the plate and will offer two season passes to the people that fail to win either a key or one of the nine that fail to have the winning key. Spangler Automotive is looking for even more sponsors to join in and give away even more awards, so be sure to check out the Hamilton County Speedway this Saturday night.

Opening in July 1910, the Hamilton County Speedway is the oldest speedway in the state of Iowa. In 1938, work began on the current location at the Hamilton County Fairgrounds. The semi-banked half-mile dirt track was completed in the spring of 1939, and the first races were held on the track in September of that year.
