Donavon won the Holley USRA Stock Car main event.

Saturday night at the Southern New Mexico Speedway, 20 Holley USRA Stock Cars checked in for racing action with a main event that had some bumping and banging. Donavon Flores took advantage of the contact throughout the field and crept his way to the front. Towards the last part of the race, Lloyd Turner and Mark Morris battled back and forth as the three would race each other while Anton Salopek made his way to the front as well.

Flores held off the veteran racers to end up winnng with Turner taking the second finishing position. Salopek found himself coming in third. Wyatt Loveland came in fourth with Morris rounding out the top five.

The Out-Pace USRA B-Mod main event was rocky from the beginning. In fact, the first yellow came out in the first turn at the beginning of the race. Once the pace was set and the race started to smooth out, it was points leader Nick Rivera making his way to the front. But in a last corner last lap pass, Jake Gallardo took the win.

Rivera finished in second place and Billy Roy Harris was third. Greg Gorham claimed the fourth spot and it was Justin Allen rounding out the top five.

We can’t wait for this year’s Rancho Milagro USRA Fall Nationals, but will enjoy the next three weekends off with time to rest, regroup and come back for what is slated to be the best we have ever seen.
