Summit USRA Nationals postponed to October 17-20

Due to an impending cold and rainy week ahead, officials for the 5th Annual Summit USRA Nationals have announced that the event has been delayed two weeks and will move to Wednesday-Saturday, October 17-20, at the I-35 Speedway in Winston, Mo.

Wednesday will be practice night for racers in all divisions. Thursday, Friday and Saturday racing will feature the USRA Modifieds, Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and Cook Racing Supplies USRA Hobby Stocks. USRA Tuners will join the program on Friday and Saturday.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17
Open practice for all USRA divisions.
• Pit gate opens at 12 p.m.
• Pre-tech begins at 1 p.m.
• Practice from 6-9 p.m.
• Grandstands: FREE
• Pit Pass $20

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18
Featuring USRA Modifieds, Holley USRA Stock Cars, Out-Pace USRA B-Mods and Cook Racing Supplies USRA Hobby Stocks. Competitors will draw for heat race starting spots with passing points determining line-ups for the main events.

• Racing begins at 7 p.m.
• Grandstand tickets: Adults $20, 18 & Under FREE

Points accumulated Thursday and Friday will determine the starting line-ups for the main events with the top 10 in in each division competing in a pole dash to determine starting spots for the “A” Main. Tuners will draw for heat race starting spots with passing points determining line-ups for the main events.

RULES & PROCEDURES: This event is sanctioned by the United States Racing Association and all USRA rules apply. Except for Tuners, all competitors must possess a valid USRA license (no temps). RACEceivers and transponders are required and will be available for rent or purchase. Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series national points will be awarded with a true car count bonus each night (minimum 48 points). Competitors will also earn points in the Iron Man Challenge for Holley USRA Stock Cars presented by Medieval Chassis and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods presented by Pace Performance.

ENTRY FEES: The entry fee is $100 for Modifieds, $75 for Stock Cars, $75 for B-Mods and $50 for Hobby Stocks. There is no entry fee for Tuners. Entry fee and completed entry form must be received by October 15. Late or at-the-track entry is double. There is no entry fee or license requirement for Tuners and regional Sport Compact racers are invited to compete in that class.

CAMPING: Camping is located on the north side of the track property next to a small lake with access via gravel road. Parking consists of grass lots. Water and electric hook-ups are not available. Camping fees are $20 per night or $60 for the week. The Trackside Bar & Grill will be open for lunch and dinner all four days. Breakfast will be available Friday and Saturday by Pit Stop Catering at their tent by the pit entrance. Top notch concessions are available throughout the facility featuring large tenderloins, hot fries, walking tacos, hot dogs, hamburgers, snow cones, sweet funnel cakes, root beer floats and more, plus I-35 Speedway always has clean restrooms and free parking.

The I-35 Speedway is located just off of Interstate 35 at mile marker 64 (10 miles east of Cameron on SR 6). The physical address for mapping is 13141 MO-6, Winston, MO 64689.
