Cool, wet forecast leads to cancellation of Spring Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway
With cool temperatures expected on Friday and a forecast of persistent rain on Saturday, Lucas Oil Speedway and Lucas Oil MLRA officials have cancelled this weekend's scheduled 6th annual MLRA Spring Nationals Presented by RacingJunk.com.
Full programs had been scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights, with the USRA Modifieds and O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Stocks also on the schedule.
"We wanted to make the decision early enough so the teams and fans planning to make long hauls would know before starting their trips," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. "Saturday looks like unseasonably cool temperatures and a near-100-percent chance of rain throughout the afternoon and evening."
Fans purchasing advance tickets or getting tickets from radio for this weekend can use those for any other 2019 event of equal value.
