Chateau Raceway announces schedule of Fall specials

LANSING, Minn. - Chateau Raceway in Lansing, powered by Husqvarna, has announced their schedule for there Fall Specials. The final three weekends of AMSOIL Dirt Track Racing Series action which will take place between Labor Day weekend and the final weekend of September. The three big specials will come on the heals of this Friday Nights "2007 Season Championship Races". This weeks show sponsored by Wrads Rags and Awards with its 7:30 start time is the final night of the regular season and will be the final night for drivers to pick up track points to determine the Track Champions in the six individual classes for this year.

The first of the three Fall Specials will be Labor Day weekend. The track will host the tenth stop in the USMTS (United States Modified Touring Series) "Hunt for the O'Reilly National Championship" on Friday Night August 30th. The "Hunt" concludes the following week with stops at three other tracks in the next eight days after they leave Lansing. The event will be part of the "2nd Annual Cedar River Races" sponsored by Husqvarna and Miners Outdoor of Blooming Prairie. Along with the $2000 to win USMTS portion of the show the program will also include the "Power 96" WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, WISSOTA Super Stocks and the "S and S Auto Salvage" Hornets. The event will feature the first appearance of the WISSOTA Super Stocks at the track since it was dropped as a regular weekly class after the 2001 season. The WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds will be running for $400 to win on the night while the WISSOTA Super Stock winner will have a $300 check waiting at the payout window. It will be an opportunity for drivers in both the WISSOTA classes to try an improve there standings in the National Points Races. The Hornet class, which was just introduced at the track this year, has grown from just four cars at the beginning of the season to an average field of ten or better the second half of the year will be running for $75 to win. Race time for the Labor Day weekend show will be 7:30.

The newest addition to Chateau Raceways Fall Special lineup will be the "1st Annual Hornet Buzz Festival" on Friday night September 14th. With several other tracks having added the Hornet class to there weekly shows over the past few years and Lansing adding them this year track promoters decided to add an extra special to highlight there class and put a $200 to win prize out there for them as well. The special will also include an USRA Modified field of cars as well as Pure Stocks. The Open Modifieds will be competing for a nice $750 to win paycheck with the Pure Stocks racing for a $100 first prize. Start time for the "Buzz Festival" sponsored by "Powder Werks" will be 7:30.

The "2nd Annual Midwest Modified Fall Nationals", a two night show, will conclude the 2007 racing season the final weekend of September. The show will run Friday and Saturday September 28 and 29 with a complete show, with features, each night. Along with the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds the track will also welcome in the WISSOTA Super Stocks for the second time during the month, the WISSOTA Street Stocks, the USRA Modifieds, Pure Stocks and Hornets. That will make for two full nights of racing with the green flags scheduled to start flying at 7:30 on Friday night and at 6:00 on Saturday night. If either night is rained out Sunday has been reserved for a rain date. If that date is necessary the Sunday show would run at 2:00.

Once again some nice pay days will be awaiting the drivers in all classes over the weekend. The WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, who are the hosts for their "Fall Nationals", will run for $750 to win on Friday Night and $1250 to win on Saturday Night. The Open Modifieds will run for $750 to win each night while the WISSOTA Super Stocks and WISSOTA Street Stocks will be gunning for $400 to win paydays each night. Once again the WISSOTA classes will be running for National Points each show. The Pure Stock purse will feature $100 to win each night with the Hornets shooting for $75 to win each show. The two night special will be sponsored by "L & D Ag" of Hartland.
