Johnson grabs Humboldt USRA Modified cash

Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series action returned to the Humboldt Speedway on Friday. The main event of the evening were the $1,000-to-win USRA Modifieds.

Matt Johnson of Archie, Mo., beat polesitter Jon Sheets to turn one and raced to a feature win in the 20-lapper.

Sheets outdueled fellow Nevada, Mo., racer Chase Domer for second.

The Humboldt Speedway is featuring USRA Modifieds six times during the 2019 racing season. The third show takes place Friday, May 31.

All six shows will pay $1,000 to win and $100 to start. There's no entry fee, just your pit pass.

Drivers will earn both track and national points in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series as well as the CP-Carrillo Central Region presented by MVT.
