Stovall snags USRA Modified opener at Monett

MONETT, Mo. -- Despite cold weather and heavy rains, the Monett Speedway opened Sunday night for it's 38th consecutive season.

The USRA Modified feature saw Jesse Stovall take the early lead with Jackie Dalton, Johnny Bone Jr. and Rex Merritt swapping for the second spot. Dalton grabbed the lead and began to pull away as Stovall now had his hands full with Bone.

At the halfway mark, Dalton still had the lead only to give it up as he jumped the cushion in turn 1.

Stovall went on to take the victory, followed by Bone and Merritt.
