40th Annual Spooker to honor Cecil Harlan, features USRA Modifieds and B-Mods

Here it is race fans. The biggest racing event that you'll be part of is back at the mighty Tri-State Speedway. The 40th Annual Spooker honoring Cecil Harlan will be held October 9-12 on the famous high banks in Pocola, Oklahoma. The track is located 1.5 miles west of Fort Smith, Arkansas, on I-540.

This year's event will be honoring the late Cecil Harlan who was the promoter and owner of Tri-State Speedway for many years. Normally, our opening event of the season—The Kegger—honors Harlan but Mother Nature had other plans this past spring and prevented us from running that event.

Harlan not only originated the large season-opening event but also originated the normal season-ending event known as The Spooker.

This year's event will once again feature over $65,000 in prize money up for grabs in ten different classes including USRA Modifieds and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods trying to grab the $1,500 top prize in each class.

Everyone at the mighty Tri-State Speedway would like to thank JRT Trucking (J.R. Owen) and SDI (Sonny Davis) for their generous contributions throughout the 2019 racing season. We would also like to thank American Towing and SG Performance Carburetors.

For those coming from out of town, there is camping allowed at the track although there are no hook-ups. For those who'd prefer to stay in a hotel room, there is Candlewood Suites located at 7501 Madison Ave. in Fort Smith. They are located 9.1 miles from the track via I-540 and AR 22 (Rogers Ave.). Their location is extremely close to many popular national food establishments and other shopping amenities. You can contact them at (479) 424-3800 and mention Tri-State Speedway and receive your room for only $79. Give them a call and book your room now. Click here for driving directions.

All USRA drivers may pre-register by clicking here. This will save you time at the driver window if you haven't raced with us in 2019. This registration is through MyRacePass (MRP). If you already have a MRP driver profile, the pre-registration will be even quicker. This is all optional and you can still register and pay at the track, but this will help speed up that process.
