BLOOMFIELD, Iowa - Racing action on Friday, Aug. 22 at the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway was sponsored by Stamped Graphics, Keith’s Foods and Golden Furrow Fertilizer, all of Bloomfield, with six classes in action. Every young race fan got a book and bookmark from the 305 Sprint team of Cale and Deanna Hutchings, who sponsored the Junior Fan Club and Racing to Read.

The Bennett Racing Supplies USRA B-Mod feature went to Jared Miller of Des Moines (formerly of Bloomfield). This was Miller’s career-first win, and he thanked his dad for all his support through the years.

The Mikels Inc. USRA Hobby Stock feature went to Jason McDaniel of Eldon, who picked up his third straight and 16th win of the 2008 season by passing Don Nunnikhoven with three laps remaining.

Next week’s racing action will be sponsored by KBOE 104.9FM, your station for racing, along with Rancho Centinela and Pepsi-Cola Memphis Bottling. Season Championships are up for grabs with all six classes in action to cap off another race season. The first 300 young race fans will get a stuffed animal compliments of Kirkland Auto of Centerville.
