Bone bags checkers, track championship at Monett Speedway
MONETT, Mo. - As the racing season winds down, racers pulled into the Monett Speedway Sunday night hoping to pick up a win and advance their standing in the points.
USRA Modified action saw Jason Meadors and Johnny Bone Jr. race side by side for 5 laps.
With Meadors using the high groove and Bone on the bottom, Meadors had a slight lead until Bone took the lead on lap 6.
From there, Bone cruised home to take the win and the points title.
Meadors finished second with Brent Holman third.
