Turkey Day Shoot Out set for Sept. 13 at Nobles County Speedway

WORTHINGTON, Minn. - Officials at the Nobles County Speedway are preparing for the Turkey Day Shoot Out this Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Worthington, Minn. speedplant.

Sponsored by Worthington Public Utility and Missouri River Energy, the event will feature a $15,000 total purse, with USRA Modifieds racing for a top prize of $1,000. USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars will battle for $750 to win, while USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks will race for $500 to win. Sportsmans, Hornets and Outlaw Micro-Sprints are also on the racing card.

Program prizes includes a Browning 12-guage shotgun (or $250 cash), a gas grill, two 10-speed bikes, dirt bike helmet, patio bench, jackets, sweaters, T-shirts, steak dinners, caps and more. Split-Pot prize will be a 50th Anniversary NASCAR leather jacket and two NCSI leather jackets.

Kid’s will enjoy a chance at eight bikes, free hot dogs and a candy toss sponsored by Worthington and Texas race teams and Worthington Ambulance & Fire.

Gates open at 4 p.m., hot laps are at 5:30 and racing begins at 6 p.m.

This event will award national points in the USRA Casey's General Stores Weekly Racing Series.
