Season Championships set for Friday night at Midway Speedway

LEBANON, Mo. - The chase to claim the 2008 track championship at the Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo. will end this Friday night, Sept. 12 with the Season Championships on the line.

A total of 263 different drivers have competed in the six classes for points this season, and there are still several titles up for grabs on the "Action Track of The Ozarks."

The USRA Modified crown will go to the wire as three drivers are battling hard.

Unofficially, 2005 track champion Jamie Ragland has fought back to lead Jimmy Willis by only 22 points, and defending track champion Eric Hudson by 32 markers.

Several other drivers are battling to secure a top-10 spot.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 8 p.m. sharp.

Should the races Friday night be canceled because of weather, the Season Championships will be run on Saturday night, Sept. 13.
