KIds Night at I-35 Speedway this Saturday


I-35 Speedway presents the annual McCarthy Auto Group Kids’ Night this Saturday, August 1, featuring free backpacks loaded with school supplies in preparation for the upcoming school year for those ages 6 to 14. These school supplies have been donated by various racers, sponsors and fans.

Kids 18 and under get in free.

The first race in August of a busy month of racing, five Saturdays and a Friday, along with the annual aroma changing Smokin' Trackside BBQ Bash KCBS Contest on Friday, August 7, with judging on Saturday, August 8.

August 15 is a special with the Cletus "Mudcat" Murray Memorial and return of the USAC Wingless Sprint Cars. August 22 is CARB Night and August 29 is the Mike Knight Memorial. In all, six nights of super-exciting fun-creating racing is on tap in August.

Hot laps on Saturday start at 6:20 with racing at 7. General admission tickets are $15. Seniors 62 and over are $12 and those 18 years and under are free. The pits open at 4 and the drivers’ draw ends and drivers’ meeting begins at 6.

The I-35 Speedway is located at exit 64 off Interstate 35.

Concessions are available throughout the facility. Enjoy a super-delicious sweet funnel cake, beverage of your choice, large tenderloin, hot fries, walking taco, hot dog or grilled hamburger. Enjoy dinner at the Trackside Bar & Grill overlooking turn 1. Always-clean restrooms that would be pleasing to Mom, always-free parking... Where else would you be on Saturday night other than I-35 Speedway?
