Highlights:

-- Brad Waits won his first points title at Deer Creek. Waits used five feature wins and 11 top-five finishes to claim the title.

-- The first eight feature races of the season were won by Waits or Tim Donlinger. Donlinger had six wins and Waits scored two.

-- Jason Cummins broke up that streak on July 26 when he cracked victory lane. Cummins would also go on to win on August 8 and the Night of Victory on September 17.

-- In an amazing statistic, in 21 feature events in the USRA Modified class (including special events), 18 were won by Skyrocket Chassis. Only a Hughes Chassis (Jason Hughes, two wins) and a Fegers Chassis (Bob Timm, one win) were able to win a feature in 2008.
