LEBANON, Mo. – Officials at the Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., have announced that the Modified division will again be sanctioned by the United States Racing Association for the 2009 season.

The USRA offers season-ending track points funds while they also offer a chance for the local racers to have a chance at a becoming the national champion in the USRA American Racer Weekly Racing Series based on their best 20 feature race finishes at sanctioned tracks.

Last season, Lebanon driver Jamie Ragland came from behind to claim the title at the Midway Speedway while finishing 13th in the American Racer Weekly Racing Series standings for the Modifieds.

The USRA offers a solid rules package for the drivers as tracks in Missouri, Minnesota, Kansas, Oklahoma and Iowa are on board for 2009.
