Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the drivers, car owners, pit crews, race fans, and staff of I-35 Speedway. We hope this season of celebration is happy, joyous and fun for everyone—just like being at the track.

As soon as one season ends another season begins and so it is with I-35 Speedway.

Six weeks ago, we met to celebrate the 2020 racing season with our first ever outdoor banquet and awards celebration. Since then, I-35 Speedway management has been hard at work preparing the 2021 schedule, meeting with sponsors and reviewing all our rules. The rules (minor changes) are posted on the I-35 Speedway website at i-35speedway.net.

Competitors in the Summit USRA Weekly Racing Series can get USRA rules at usraracing.com.

Listed below is the 2021 super exciting tentative schedule. Additional racing dates are coming. Mark your calendars for all the exciting fun each race night. The schedule as you can see has all the same thrilling classes returning from 2020 and continues the Show-Me Stock Car Shootout in July. As always, we remember our history with our memorial races (Murray, Tanner, Kaster, Wilson, Knight).

There will not be an in-person January driver’s meeting in 2021. Instead, the following are important dates for competitors:

Pit spot registration is currently open and going fast, contact Kyle Johnson at 816-365-7593. Your 2020 pit spots are reserved through January 16, and then on January 17 all unreserved pit spots are first-come first-served.

I-35 Speedway registration is currently open and the registration form can be downloaded off i-35speedway.net or by emailing vettsb@aol.com and requesting a 2021 registration form. Registration will be open soon on MyRacePass. No need for long lines on opening night get your registration and pit spot completed before the first practice. Better yet maybe someone will provide this for you for Christmas (share this message maybe even as hint to all your favorite Christmas Santas/elves). Your number lock in date is February 15, 2021. After that date number registration becomes first-come first-served.

The I-35 Speedway is a high-banked 3/8-mile dirt oval located just east of the interstate at exit 64. Built in 1994, the track was purchased by the Johnsons in 2007 and hosts weekly racing events from March through October.
