Mother Nature wins Springfield Raceway opener

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The much-awaited season opener at the Springfield Raceway fell to Mother Nature Saturday night as a mid-afternoon rain storm moved through the area.

The opener will now be Saturday night, April 25, featuring the popular USRA Modifieds.

Also in action will be the Show-Me Racin' Series Late Models, Bombers, SportMods and Legends Cars.

Pit gates will open at 2 p.m. with the grandstands opening at 4. Practice will start at 5:15 and racing will begin at 6 p.m.

Admission for the event will be $15 for adults while pit passes are $30.
