Allen wins USRA Modified feature at Caney Valley Speedway

CANEY, Kan. - After several races have been forced into cancelation by mother nature the Caney Valley Speedway was finally able to get a show in the books Saturday night.

With a full pit area (95 cars) and a full grandstand the night was sure to be exciting.

In the USRA Modified feature, a classic battle between John Allen and Gary Langworthy Jr. saw side by side racing with Langworthy using every inch of the speedway.

He was able to clear Allen on the top side of the track on several occasions only to have Allen wrestle the lead away for good with two laps to go.

Langworthy held on for second, followed by Colby Artherton and Ryan Whitworth.

Racing resumes in two weeks with USRA Modifieds, B-Mods, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks, Pure Stocks and Turf Cars.
