Cresco Speedway “Licensed to Thrill” this Sunday night

CRESCO, Iowa — This Sunday, June 7, Pepsi presents the first of several “Licensed to Thrill” special events at the Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Iowa.

Race fans from the town of Cresco simply need to show their driver's license or i.d. card to get FREE admission to the Mighty Howard County Fairgrounds grandstands and enjoy a full night of racing action on the house!

On the racing card will be Round 2 of the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks.

Pit gates will open at the at 4:00, with grandstand gates opening at 5:00. Hot laps begin at 6:15 and the first heat race takes to the track at 6:30.

Other Sunday night “Licensed to Thrill” events in 2009 include July 12 (Decorah and Waukon), July 26 (New Hampton) and Aug. 23 (Osage and Riceville).

And don't forget ... coming Tuesday, June 16, Subway presents the Deery Brothers Summer Series for I.M.C.A. Late Models at the Cresco Speedway. USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars, USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks will also be racing.
