SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - After a standing-room-only event last Saturday night, the points battle at the Springfield Raceway will turn up the heat even more with Bass Pro Shop and Hardee's Night at the Quick-Quarter mile dirt oval with action in the USRA Modifieds, Bombers, SportMods and Legends Cars.

Currently defending Springfield Raceway USRA Modified Champion Jackie Dalton of Carthage has seen his points lead shrink as Mitch Keeter of Joplin has closed-up to within 24 points. Dalton, who started with three wins in a row, has been shutout for the last two weeks as Jody Tillman and Springfield's Erik Maggard have been visiting the winner's circle.

Gates open at 5 with hot laps at 6:15 and racing at 7 p.m. sharp.
