Lebanon Midway points battle tight heading into Holiday Weekend

Two-time USRA B-Mod national champion Kris Jackson of Lebanon has won many features on the mighty Midway dirt but has never won a Midway USRA track championship.

Despite winning five of seven features so far this season, the competition has been very tough as driver such as Dayton Pursley, Mitchell Franklin and a host of others have been in the hunt. Other feature winners this season have included Mike Striegel and J.C. Morton as Jackson has won 2 in a row twice this season with a runner up finish and 3rd place finish so far.

Going into this Friday nights Fireworks Spectacular event, Jackson currently holds a 149 point lead over Sam McDaniel of Stoutland but the race for the number 2 spot is only separated by only 29 points between 2nd place McDaniel and 6th place Dayton Pursley.

Behind McDaniel and his T10 machine is Wesley Briggs 15 pts behind McDaniel.  Brian Myers sets in 4th only 3 pts behind Briggs while Jay Flinn completes the top 5 only 4 pts behind Myers.

Pursley who missed a race due to High School graduation holds the 6th spot only 7 pts behind 5th place Flinn.

Summit USRA Weekly Racing action begins Friday night at 8PM with action featuring Midwest Mods, Pure Stocks, Super Stocks and FWD Hornets.

There will be no racing Friday July 9th due to the Laclede County Fair in town

Friday night will pay 500 to the USRA B Mod winner with the runner up grabbing 350. The feature pays 75 to start.
