Fellers headlines Midway Speedway USRA Modified feature

LEBANON, Mo. - The theme of new winners is what every racetrack wants and Friday night action at the Midway Speedway that theme was strong as three first-time winners were crowned.

In the USRA Modified feature, Donnie Fellers grabbed the opening lead with Danny Atkinson following closely.

On lap 2, points leader Justin Neuman took over the top spot with Fellers right on his bumper. Neuman, looking for his first win of the season, seemed to have control while Fellers was staying close behind as Rustin Miller,Atkinson and Rusty Dukes were battling.

A lap 7 caution for debris sent Terry Kirk to the pits with a flat tire, but he returned at the tail end of the field.

Neuman shot ahead on the restart, but on lap 9 pulled into the pits with problems, sending Fellers to the lead with Miller and Dukes right behind him.

Miller tried several times to get the top spot, but Fellers held on for his first ever Midway Speedway victory followed by Miller, Dukes, Atkinson and Colson Kirk.
