Deery Series heads for Oskaloosa, June 16

OSKALOOSA, IA (May 31, 1999) - The fast half-mile dirt track at Oskaloosa is the site of the Deery Brothers Summer Series event Wednesday, June 16.

I.M.C.A. Late Models on the annual tour visited the Southern Iowa Speedway once last season, when Rob Toland of Hillsdale, Ill., edged Washington's Harry Walker in one of the closest finishes of the 1998 tour.

Gates open at 6 p.m. on race day. Hot laps are at 7:10 p.m. and racing starts at 7:45 p.m. Series drivers have most of three weeks off before resuming Deery competition Sunday, July 4, at the Quincy (Ill.) Raceway.
