Deadline nears to reserve tickets for Lucas Oil Speedway championship banquet


Drivers or fans interested in attending Lucas Oil Speedway's annual championship banquet and awards presentation have just over one week until the deadline to make reservations.

Tickets are $40 each and the public is invited. Tickets must be reserved in advance by Oct. 28. Contact Admissions Director Nichole McMillin at (417) 282-5984 or via email at nichole@lucasoilspeedway.com.

The banquet, recognizing the top 10 in each of the four Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series divisions, is set for Nov. 13 at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach.

Results of the Most Popular Driver Award, with online fan voting continuing, along with Best Appearing Race Car also will be handed out. The voting for most popular driver is limited to one vote per valid email address.

The program will conclude with announcement of the fifth winner of the Forrest Lucas Lifetime Achievement Award given for contributions to the sport on and off the track.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour from 6-7 p.m. Invocation is set for 7 with dinner and awards to follow.
