BRANDON, S.D. - Terry McCarl may have won the battle Sunday night at Huset's Speedway, but it was Mark Dobmeier who won the war by putting the wraps on the 2009 USRA Outlaw Sprint Car track championship with a second-place finish.

Dusty Ballenger captured his second feature win of the season in USRA Championship Sprint Car action while Dean Brown scored Next Generation Sprint Car feature win number 5.

Darrin Korthals took honors in USRA Karl Chevolet B-Mod competition and Tommy Barber checkered first in USRA Hobby Stock action.

In a special feature race for the B-Mods sponsored by Gary's Tire Service, it was Colter Deustch edging Darrin Korthals to claim the $500 winner's share.

Labor Day action continues on Monday, Sept. 7, with the Sertoma Charities Race. USRA Championship Sprint Cars, Next Generation Sprint Cars, USRA Karl Chevrolet B-Mods and USRA Hobby Stocks will take to the track at a special start time of 5 p.m.

It will be the season championships for all four classes.
