The Fayette County Fair hosted its second straight night of racing Thursday evening as the USRA Tuners were in action alongside the school buses as well-over 3,000 people packed the Grandstand for an exciting night of racing action.

The first to take the unofficial checkered flag was Blake Driscol of Dysart, Iowa, but after coming in light at the scales, the win went to Justin Anderson of Holmen, Wisc. Anderson worked hard to get past Castalia, Iowa driver Brad Stahl in the final two laps, which proved to be a justified battle as he grabbed his first win of the season at Fayette County Speedway.

Stahl took the runner-up spot, while Josh Hills took third. In fourth was Braiden Schufenbuel, while Lukas Rick took fifth in his first appearance of 2022 at the track.

Fayette County Speedway will take a night off Friday as the West Union community will host an overnight RAGBRAI stay, but action will return to the track on Friday night, Aug. 5, for the Iowa Donor Network Race.
