Southern Iowa Speedway Stock Car Challenge entries coming in daily

OSKALOOSA, Iowa -- Entries for the first ever Stock Car Challenge have been coming in daily and more than forty stock cars have entered the first ever $10,000 to win main event. This will be the first ever race in Iowa that will pay the winner $10,000 for this class of cars. Make your plans to attend this event scheduled for August 23-25. Also running will be the hobby stock class that will be paying the winner $2000 to win. We have received entries from North Dakota, Wisconsin, Kansas, Minnesota, and Iowa so far and plan on many more states entering this race. In addition to the purse we will also be paying $100 for the longest tow in each class. We are working on sponsors for this race and will be adding other incentives for this race as sponsors sign on. We will have qualifying on Monday, Tuesday with the top six being locked in each night. On Wednesday night last chance races will be run with the twenty-eight car field main events. Two drivers will be guaranteed starting spots in the main event. Mark Elliott has already secured his spot with a win at the Pro-Line Buildings Stock Car Shootout win and the winner of the Sunoco Stock Car Shootout in Memphis, MO on August 10-11 will be also guaranteed a spot. Both of these spots will be back row spots. Pat Rachels in the Hobby Stock class will also be guaranteed a spot in the back of the hobby stock main event. This will be a must see show as more than seventy stock cars is expected for this event. The Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, IA has hosted some of the best racing in the state of Iowa this season and this race should see the same results with some very exciting racing. Nine different winners have visited the winner’s circle this season at the Southern Iowa Speedway with no driver winning more than two nights.
